Dr. Malika Muhammad is a visionary leader and social work professional with nearly twenty years of experience advancing programs that support individuals, families, and communities. As Chief Executive Officer of Taaj Residential Services, LLC, she leads an organization dedicated to empowering adults with autism and intellectual disabilities to live independently, with dignity, and with purpose.
With a distinguished career in child welfare, behavioral health, and community-based practice, Dr. Muhammad combines her clinical expertise with executive leadership to create person-centered systems of care. She is recognized for her ability to build effective teams, strengthen program outcomes, and integrate trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches into service delivery.
Dr. Muhammad also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Social Work, where she mentors emerging practitioners and advances discussions on ethics, equity, and professional resilience. Tyema holds an Associate in Applied Science in Dietetic Technology from Camden County Community College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in Public Health from the University of Alabama. She also possesses a Nutrition Care Manager Certificate and has completed various relevant certifications, including Serv-Safe and Youth Mental Health First Aid.
